Create a sequence using Resources®. Let the students observe and reason to predict the missing piece in the sequence.
Take out a few piece of Resources® and place them in front of the class. Once everybody have a good look to memorize it, find something to cover. Let the students pick up the pieces corresponding to what they memorized and place the pieces according to their visual memory (color, sequence & orientation) the most alike placement gets highest score. Guide the class to see their mistakes and how to improve.
Show one resources to class and let the students observe. Guide them to look for the uniqueness of the shown resources. Assign them to find the identical pieces in the opaque bag with their hands. Once the pieces are found, take some time to discuss the unique characteristic of each forms.
Assign the students to choose a piece of Resources® each. Let them observe and draw out the pieces with crayons.
Take turns to choose pieces out from the mixed pile of Resources® and group pieces with forms/colors alike.
Group matching pieces of Resources® in easy counting numbers. Guide the students to count and learn numbers though tangible objects. (Use mixed pieces of Resources® for more advanced steps)
